Treaty Oaks

Treaty Oaks demonstrates how thoughtful planning and site design can create a stronger sense of community within a small-scale residential neighborhood. Located in the heart of The Nations, this walkable, cottage-style development provides 60 homes that expand attainable homeownership opportunities while reinforcing the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

Designed as a missing middle housing community, Treaty Oaks offers a mix of thoughtfully sized two- and three-bedroom cottages ranging from approximately 1,000 to 1,600 square feet. Rather than orienting the neighborhood around vehicles, the homes are arranged around a shared central courtyard that encourages neighbors to gather, children to play, and residents to connect. Parking is intentionally located along the perimeter of the development, creating a safer, more pedestrian-focused environment and fostering an inviting streetscape.

CSDG provided civil engineering services to support the successful delivery of the community by designing the site's grading, utility infrastructure, stormwater management, and drainage systems, creating a resilient foundation for long-term neighborhood success. By balancing technical requirements with the vision for a walkable, people-centered environment, our team helped transform a compact infill site into a vibrant residential community where everyday life happens.
